LBCC Supports Kids and Veterans
LBCC partnered with the Boys and Girls club of Burnet to
assist with a fishing tournament. LBCC
volunteers assisted the young anglers, measured and weighed their catches, and
provided trophies. LBCC volunteers have
also helped the Marble Falls High School fishing team.
In the predawn of their bass tournament on Lake LBJ, LBCC volunteers are there
to guide tournament participants in parking their vehicles with boat
trailers. LBCC sponsored a 500 word
essay contest for a $1000 college scholarship to a graduating senior from
Burnet or Llano counties. The winner was
a Marble Falls senior, Drake Harkins.
LBCC helps sponsor a weekend for the Warriors
in Transition group from Ft. Hood.
This is a project that is headed by Cross Water
Outfitters and we are very happy to support this extremely worthy
cause. We sincerely thank all of our veterans
and their families that sacrifice so much for all of us.
