LBCC Support to Proposed Boat Ramp Improvements

The Lake Buchanan Conservation Corporation strongly supports the proposed renovation of the Llano County boat ramp at the Llano County Park off Hwy. 261.

Improving the ramp will be a benefit to many residents of Llano County.  Improvements will make it more accessible for residents to launch their boats.  Launching and retrieval will take less time and be safer due to the widening of the ramp. More importantly, a longer ramp will allow residents to launch their boats for more months during the year since the current ramp quickly becomes dry when lake levels fall.

This improvement project will allow residents of Llano County to enjoy Lake Buchanan more easily, with increased safety and for a longer season, including periods of drought.

An improved boat ramp will be a draw for visitors and tourists alike and will, therefore, benefit both Llano county residents and businesses through increased tourism.
